"What is Literature?"

Literature for me makes us more aware of what is happening around us and also to know different traditions and practices of other places. As we go along reading different kinds of stories, it's just like we are the one who is in the place of the persona or the one who is speaking in the said story, in effect, it's just like we are traveling with the characters in the story we are reading. Literature is not just an imaginative kind of writing, for me, it can be compared to a locked treasure box which can be only opened by a certain key, and that key refers to the heart and mind of the readers, because if they allow to be openhearted and open-minded to what they are reading, they will truly understand the true thoughts and message of the story, they'll realize that it is more wonderful than how they think it to be, and this refers to the treasure inside the locked treasure box and lastly, the locked treasure box refers to Literature. It is how to appreciate the beauty of Literature, we must learn how to unlock it for us to experience what good readers feels while they are reading a certain story, they are like traveling around the world by simply reading different kinds of books and other reading materials.

"Why is it important?"

Literature is important because we will not be aware of what is happening around us, and also we can no longer know how does things are changing from time to time, we must know how to appreciate it because we can be a better person if we know how to appreciate Literature.
